MotoGP, Viñales: "Domesticating the RSV4 isn’t easy, but the sensations are excellent"

A day on the Misano track for Maverick, satisfied with the work done on the Aprilia RSV4: "It has a lot of engine, but the characteristics are similar to those of the RS-GP, and the feeling is the same as the MotoGP"

MotoGP: Viñales:

The presence of Maverick Viñales in the paddock of the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli didn’t go unnoticed. In fact, the Spanish rider of the Aprilia Racing team took advantage of this day of tests for the Italian Speed Championship to train for the upcoming MotoGP round, which will take place on the weekend of April 12th to 14th at the Circuit of the Americas.

Joining the riders of the Revo-Nuova M2 Racing team, Luca Bernardi and Samuele Cavalieri, the rider from Catalunya took to the track with the Aprilia RSV4,  and he quickly had excellent sensations.

I felt good with the RSV4. It’s a bike that has a lot of engine, so it’s not easy to tame, but it still gives you very good feelings. I felt great, and this allowed me to do the work I have to do to then improve on the MotoGP, also because the characteristics of the RSV4 are similar to those of the RS-GP,” Maverick told us exclusively, as soon as he finished the day's work. “In the end, with all the Aprilia Racing bikes, you always have the same feeling that the MotoGP also gives you.

This is a fundamental aspect for Maverick who, by doing this, has managed to get the most out of every step taken on the Romagna Riviera track.

I did three runs, and I definitely did fifty laps. They’re not many, but I’m satisfied,” the Aprilia rider added, as he reflected on this Thursday of tests: “It was a very interesting day for me and also very important, because I try to improve with every lap I do on the bike. It’s important to have a feeling that allows you to push to the limit and have the right confidence to be ready starting from the FP1. That's what I needed this day for.”
