MotoGP, Di Giannantonio: "I want to make myself known on and off the track. The real Fabio."

"Liberty Media? Good, if it'll increase the popularity of the sport and increase motorcycle constructors. I'll continue to act as usual. The Austin circuit? Very hard, but it depends on the sensations on the bike."

MotoGP: Di Giannantonio:

Fabio Di Giannantonio's weekend in Austin started with a visit to the Toyota Center, the basketball arena that's home to the Houston Rockets.

"Watching the game from the sidelines and meeting some of the players was great," the VR46 Racing rider confessed. "I was in Los Angeles a few days, so I could get used to it and get over my jetleg, since I've also had this problem in the past. Overall, my energy is good, and I feel ready. The team has been working hard, and I'm convinced that we can do well."

When he was asked about the arrival of Liberty Media in the role of MotoGP promoter, the  rider from Rome stated: "I'm happy that they're making the sport bigger and with lots of constructors. Personally, I'll continue to be myself. We want to make me known on and off the track, like I really am. I hope their presence will help us grow."

About the Austin track, the 25-year-old rider confirmed that the layout is physically trying. "It's actually not easy. The first two sectors are hard but, when you feel good with the bike, it all goes away. If you feel you can be fast, your body relaxes and doesn't get stressed."
