Dakar: Petrucci at the Dakar: “Today a lesson... to learn about repairing damage!”

The moment has arrived! Four more days, and with the prologue of Jeddah on January 1st, the curtain will finally rise on the 44th edition of the Dakar in Saudi Arabia.

Among the Italians in action, there’s also Danilo Petrucci, ready to transform into a desert nomad adventurer. The KTM rider wanted to tell us about his first experience in the Raid, sending us information directly from the field with a recording.

A sort of diary that will accompany GPOne readers along what many consider an Odyssey: “I arrived this evening,” he told us. “Today I took a Covid test, then I had a lesson on how the bike functions and any damage to be repaired during the race. Tomorrow, I’ll be getting on the KTM to perform a shakedown and see how my ankle is doing,” he added. “Among other things, I walked a lot today to prepare all the material.

Below is Petrux’s audio recording.
